What does connecting an AI agent actually let me do?
Your assistant can see which social accounts you have connected, browse the posts you generated in ViralFarm, upload images or videos of its own, and schedule or publish to any of your accounts — all from chat. It can also show you what is queued and cancel anything before it goes out.
Which AI assistants work?
Anything that speaks MCP. Claude (web, desktop, and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Codex, and Cursor are all supported, and any other MCP-compatible client can connect with an API key. Setup is a couple of minutes and the steps for each are on our setup page.
Do I need an API key?
Not for most clients. Claude and ChatGPT sign you in through your browser — you approve once and you are connected. For servers, CI, or clients that cannot open a browser, create a personal API key in Settings and pass it as a bearer token instead.
Can my agent post content it made itself?
Yes. It can upload its own images and videos to your ViralFarm library and schedule them like anything else. Agents that run on your computer, such as Claude Code and Codex, can send files of any size; chat-only assistants can pass small images inline.
Will it post something without asking me?
No. The agent confirms the plan with you first — which posts, which accounts, what times — and asks about each platform choice it cannot assume, like whether a TikTok goes live or to your drafts and who should be able to see it.
Which platforms can it publish to?
TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, and X. Per-platform rules such as the Instagram post type, the Pinterest board, and the YouTube audience are validated before anything is queued, so your agent gets a clear error rather than a silent failure.
Is there a REST API too?
Yes. Everything the agent does is available directly: generate posts, upload media, schedule, check status, and cancel. There is an OpenAPI document you can point codegen or your own tooling at, and the same personal API key authenticates it.
What does it cost?
Generating uses credits — 4 for a slideshow, 2 for a reel, 1 for a pin — and scheduling or publishing is not metered at all. Sign up free with Google and you get 20 credits to try the whole flow, no card required.
